Cusco – Moray – Maras – Pisac – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
Pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 6:30 and 7:00 AM. We begin our journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas with the first stop at Moray, the fascinating Inca agricultural laboratory with its concentric circular terraces that created different microclimates.
We continue to the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive landscape of over 5,000 salt pools on the mountain slopes, used since pre-Inca times. Time to explore, photograph and buy artisanal salt.
Buffet lunch at a Sacred Valley restaurant with typical Andean dishes. After lunch, we visit the archaeological complex and artisan market of Pisac, famous for its Inca agricultural terraces and colorful crafts market.
Our last stop is Ollantaytambo, one of the most impressive fortresses of the Inca empire with its enormous stone walls, functional hydraulic system and panoramic views of the valley. Return to Cusco approximately at 8:00 PM.
