Itinerary at a Glance

Cusco – Combapata – Palccoyo – Stone Forest – Cusco

Our transport will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 5:00 and 5:30 AM to begin this adventure to Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain and the Stone Forest.

We will make a journey of approximately 2.5 hours to the town of Combapata, where we will enjoy a comforting breakfast to fuel up. Then we will continue by transport to the start of the hike at 4,800 meters altitude.

At 9:30 AM we will begin a gentle 1.5 km walk to Palccoyo, where we will discover not one but three rainbow mountains with spectacular views of the Ausangate mountain range. Our guide will explain the geology and local culture.

At 11:30 AM we will visit the Stone Forest, natural rock formations that look like sculptures carved by wind and time. A surreal landscape that invites photography and contemplation.

At 12:30 PM we will head to Combapata to enjoy a buffet lunch with typical regional dishes. At 2:30 PM we will embark on the return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30 PM.
