The hike will take you to 5,200 meters altitude, where you will witness the incredible natural colors of Vinicunca formed by the mineralization of the earth. Then, you will descend to the Red Valley, a surreal landscape of reddish tones that perfectly complements the experience.

Cusco – Cusipata – Vinicunca – Red Valley – Cusco

Our transport will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 4:30 and 5:00 AM to begin this exciting adventure to the famous Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley.

We will make a journey of approximately 2 hours to the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a comforting breakfast. Then we will continue by transport to Phulawasipata (4,600 m), the starting point of the hike.

At 8:30 AM we will begin the 3.5 km hike to the summit of Vinicunca (5,200 m). During the ascent, our guide will explain about the geology that gives rise to the incredible colors of the mountain and about the culture of the local communities.

At 10:30 AM, after enjoying the views at Vinicunca, we will continue to the Red Valley, a surreal landscape of reddish hills offering spectacular panoramic views. At 11:30 AM we will begin the return to Phulawasipata.

At 12:30 PM we will head to Cusipata to enjoy a buffet lunch with typical regional dishes. At 2:00 PM we will embark on the return journey to Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:00 PM.
