Overview

Experience the adventure of hiking to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) at 5,200 m.a.s.l. A surreal landscape of colorful mineral stripes in the Andes of Cusco.

Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca or Montaña de Colores, is one of Peru's most spectacular destinations. Located at 5,200 meters above sea level in the Vilcanota mountain range, its colorful stripes are the result of the mineralogical composition of the soil exposed after glacial retreat.

The 3.5 km hike from Phulawasipata to the summit is a challenging but rewarding experience, with impressive Andean landscapes at every step. A must-visit destination for adventure and photography lovers.
