Overnight in Cusco.
We will begin this exceptional day by picking you up from your accommodation in the city of Cusco, very early in the morning (the exact pick-up time will depend on the scheduled departure time of your train). Together we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station, where you will board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes. Throughout this train ride, you will be treated to breathtaking panoramic views that capture the essence of the surrounding landscapes.
Once at the citadel, you will enjoy an exploration time of approximately 2 hours, guided by our expert in the field; through his knowledge, you will be able to understand in depth the meaning and grandeur of the constructions that stand on this ancestral site. The ancient civilizations managed to build a city that impressively fuses security, sustainability and meticulous planning on the high mountains, all rooted in their deep connection with nature.
After this enriching exploration, we return by bus to the village, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a fortifying lunch at one of the local restaurants, stroll around the village for shopping, and stop at your hotel to pick up your luggage.

ADDITIONALS
WHEN TO TRAVEL?
Remember that you can visit Cusco all year round; however, the weather may be a very important factor to consider. If you want to make the most of your visit to Cusco, the dry season from April to October will be the best; this is because you will be able to do more outdoor activities. Keep in mind that if you travel in high season you will find a large number of tourists. On the other hand, during the months of November to March the rainy season can cancel access to some attractions.
HEIGHT DISEASE
Because the city is located above 3,000 meters above sea level, many people experience slight dizziness, nausea and even headaches. In case you experience any of these symptoms, it is best to take a rest for a few hours; there are also medications such as pills and infusions that you can take if you wish.
